Near Stonehenge
In England, one B&B we would definately return to is the "Follets," situated about six miles south of Marlborough in the county of Wiltshire.
The "Follets" is a spacious modern house set among thatched cottages in the small village of Easton Royal. Close at hand are the Stone Circles of Avebury and Stonehenge. - James and Winifred S

B&B in Stonehenge country
On a trip to my homeland in England, I decided to play the tourist and stay in B&B in the beautiful vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire. What a pleasure it was!
[...] Hostess Margaret Landless' hospitality is unbeatable. On arrival, we were offered the traditional English tea and given all the information needed to help us enjoy our stay. Her full English breakfasts were fantastic. She cooked, whatever we requested, even taking the time to buy the cereal that my daughter likes.
I highly recommend this place to stay. [...] - Lynne G., Foster City

Follets B & B
Having read about Follet's B & B in a "Follow the Reader" column last fall, I happily added it to my itinerary for a trip to England this March. This lovely and comfortable modern home in the charming Wiltshire countryside is 15 minutes drive from Stonehenge and Avebury, and an easy drive to Bath, Salisbury, Winchester, and north to the Cotswolds. Every room has a private bathroom and T.V. and the hosts, Margaret and John Landless, are warm, friendly and knowledgable people who made us feel like friends. The breakfasts were made to order and huge enough to get us to dinner.
We would definitely return. The cost was about $50 a night and felt like a bargain for the delightful experience. - Sharon T

B&B Find in Wiltshire Vale
After reading many travel guides on B&Bs in the United Kingdom, we decided to stay at Follets Bed and Breakfast, in the lovely Vale of Pewsey south of Marlborough in Wiltshire. It was the absolute high point of our vacation.
The spacious, modern B&B stands in a large garden and is surrounded by many thatched roof cottages.
The nearby town had restaurants and shops galore. It was only 15 miles to Stonehenge and Avebury and centrally located for Bath, Oxford, Windsor, Winchester, The charming cathederal town of Salisbury, Stratford-on-Avon, the Cotswolds and the New Forest.
Hostess-owner Margaret Landless offered us tea upon our arrival, and her traditional English breakfasts were superb and cooked to order. All bedrooms have private bathrooms, TV, hair dryers and tea and coffee facilities. [...] .We recommend Follets B&B and self-catering cottage highly. - Roz and Fred S. Forest Knolls

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL NEWS
February 2001. Article "Hiking England's Towpaths from Bath to Reading" "...At Wootton Rivers, we exited the path and headed for Easton Royal. Our B&B was 2 more miles on paved road, bringing our total to 17 miles for the day. We were very happy when Margaret and John, our hosts at the lovely Follets B&B and self-catering cottage immediately offered us tea in their beautiful and spacious garden.
This was our favorite of the accommodations, due to the comfortable rooms and the friendliness of the hosts. They served a delicious dinner, arrangement for dinner must be made in advance..." - Janet & Ken Klug, Fresno CA

BED AND BREAKFAST NATIONWIDE
Last week-end four of us spent had a lovely break staying at 'Follets', Eastern Royal. (123 in your book) We were absolutely delighted with everything - the food was wonderful, rooms very comfortable and Margaret and John made us feel very 'at home'- down to the welcoming 'cuppa' and home-made cake on our return from a day out walking. We look forward to a return visit next year. Thank you. Sandra Jones

RECENT STAY AT THE FOLLETS B&B
Having stayed at numerous Bed and Breakfasts my husband and I would like to say how wonderful we found the Follets. Margaret and John were so kind and friendly that we soon relaxed. We were on our first cycling tour along the Kennet and Avon canal with our 13 year old son. Having cycled 41 miles to reach the Follets we were rather weary, to be greeted with such hospitality was amazing .Within 5 minutes we had been shown our room and they even made us a most welcoming cup of tea. I have to say that the breakfast was super and plentiful setting us up for the next 50 miles. We will be back to see Margaret and John perhaps on a walking tour. Highly recommended. Love Cheryl, Malcolm and Sam Orgill xx
