ACCESS STATEMENT Introduction We aim to cater for as many needs as possible for guests to our 5 bedroom bed & breakfast and self-catering cottage. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact us and we shall endeavour to help. Pre-arrival .We are 1Km from National cycle route 4 and about 3Km from the Kennet and Avon canal. .There is a bus stop in the village (500m), but the service is extremely limited. .Pewsey station is 5Km away (10 minutes). .There are several good taxi firms nearby, but they need to be booked in advance (we can help with this). .Brochures are available, and they will be sent out with confirmations. .We have a website, which shows all our facilities, including the availability of our self-catering cottage. .You can contact us by phone, fax, text or email(above). Arrival & Car Parking facilities .On arrival, there is a farmyard gate, which is always open. .There is a flat, gravel car park with ample parking for 6 guests cars (2 in the cottage car park). .We can assist guests with luggage. .We are in the centre of the village, the school and church are about 100 metres away. .We can recommend 2 local pubs (one offers, in conjunction with ourselves, a free shuttle service to walkers and cyclists). Main Entrance & Reception .The B&B front door is 81cm wide and has 2 steps (14cm high), this is usually unlocked, but we request that guests ring the front-door bell on first arrival. .The cottage front door is 81cm wide and is at ground level. Public Areas .The cottage floors are all carpeted, apart from the bathrooms , which are tiled. .In the B&B, all floors are carpeted, apart from the conservatory (breakfast room), which has a tile floor, and the 3 bathrooms, which have wooden floors. .There is a well-lit, corridor 90cm wide, leading to the 3 bedrooms. .One bedroom is on the ground floor, the other 2 bedrooms are on the first floor, reached by 13 steps with a right-angle bend. .The stairs are 19cm high, 24cm deep and 71cm wide. Public areas – WC .Bedrooms are en-suite, there is a public WC in the B&B. Breakfast Room. .Breakfast is served in the conservatory on the ground floor. .The large table seats 8, with underspace of 61 cm. .The chairs are leather (without arms). .The menus are in standard print. .There is no background music in any area. .There is no Bar, Take-away or café. Laundry/Shop/Leisure Facilities .Not applicable. Outdoor Facilities. .The cottage has it's own garden, which includes a pergola and a barbecue. .The B&B has a large garden, with a patio. Conference & Meeting Rooms, Banqueting, Clubs, Entertainment Not applicable. Cottage Bedrooms Both bedrooms are on the ground floor. Fully-equipped kitchen for self-catering guests. Tea/coffee facilities for B&B guests. Living area with sofa-bed, TV/VCR and stereo. Bedrooms have quality soft furnishings co-ordinated with well-maintained décor. Grounds and Gardens .We have a large enclosed garden for residents, with tables and seats. .There is a village recreation ground 500 metres away. Additional Information. .We are open all year round. .No guest's animals are allowed on the premises. .Mobile phone reception is patchy. .There are 3 doors which can be used, if necessary, for evacuation. .We are a no-smoking building (guests may smoke outside the building). .We have a large fridge outside for guests use.
